Hess Gets Checkered Flag For Race Car

Hess Oil has been releasing the “toy truck” each year since 1964.  I posted about the 2009 edition, tandem race cars this year, last month in this blog.  Focus group for Hess at the Bennett house on Thanksgiving Day as Grammy gave two grand kids and two great grand kids this years Hess edition.  The response from the kids was an instant success.

These race cars were driven all over the house…upstairs and downstairs.  One end of the box was ripped off so the box could act as a garage…and all four kids complied with the approach.  All the boxes were under the desk…super duper bat cave like setting I guess.  The tradition goes on in our family with the Hess Toy Truck.  It was the highlight of Thanksgiving for the four little ones in our extended family.

I can attest that the interest in the Hess cars today is as strong as yesterday.  The race cars are of a great quality as usual, with working lights.   For this I say “way to go Hess!”  I would add “Thanks Mom!”  The 2009 edition gets the checkered flag from our standpoint.
